I aM so GLAD YOU aRE HERE
My name is Dasha and I am a CNHC registered clinical hypnotherapist with additional psychotherapeutic training, in further ongoing education as an Integrative Psychotherapist with UKCP, practising in accordance with their Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.
This space is all about you, but therapy can be a very vulnerable space, involving sharing some very personal truths, and I want to introduce myself and give you some context that you may find useful. My own professional journey started in a therapist chair, as a client, years ago.
I moved to the UK when I was 16. With £500 in my pocket as my starting capital, I had to come up with solutions very fast. I graduated as an Economics and Business major and built a career in Economics and Consulting over the course of 12 years. It was a challenging and a fun career, I got a chance to consult companies across major industries on their strategy as well as being involved in all aspects of building a business.

As much as I enjoyed business, I had always been passionate about psychology and started taking classes back in high school. I started doing more and more research and I got trained in several mind body techniques that resonated with me, before embarking on the UKCP Psychotherapist training programme at the College. As I was going through my own life crisis, anxiety struggles, and my relationships taking a hit, I ended up in a therapist's chair myself, as a client.

Psychotherapy helped me deal with my own crisis, anxiety and attachment struggles and create a healthier relationship with food (I was a yo yo dieter in my younger years and emotional eating was a part of my life before I created a healthier relationship with it and as a by-product I lost around 60 pounds without dieting or restricting myself), quit smoking (I used to be a heavy smoker for 10 years before quitting back in 2014), help me create a better relationship with myself in general, become more assertive (as someone who worked in senior leadership and coached people in high pressure environments I am very familiar with stresses and the potential for burnout that a working environment can bring) and adjust to life in a new country and go through stages that arise with immigration.

The more I was getting to know the power of the human mind and the body to communicate with us, the more passionate I was becoming about working with people, helping them uncover the power of their own mind and their inner resources. I got trained as a person centered clinical hypnotherapist with additional psychotherapeutic training. As my entire philosophy is built around the notion that each individual is unique with their unique worldview and needs, it was very important for me to choose a program where I was able to learn a variety of tools, from hypnosis to CBT to Gestalt work, among other approaches, so that we can build work around your unique needs. I am currently continuing further psychotherapy training as a UKCP hypno - psychotherapist.
I explain more about my approach to working with you in the section below, please click below to learn more.
